Please fill in "Taiwanese" in the 2010 Census form

Friday March 12, 2010

Dear all,

Early this week, I received a letter from Census 2010 to alert “About one week from now, you will receive a 2010 Census form in the mail. When you receive your form, please fill it out and mail in promptly.”

Yes, just in coming week (from March 15), you should receive “2010 Census” form from Census bureau by USPS. Watch in your mailbox everyday from March 15 .

Also pass this message to all your chapter members, friends in Taiwanese American community, or any Taiwan student you know, who are not even US citizens or Green Card holders. Everyone in the US should fill in the form.

There are only 10 questions in 2010 Census form, which might take you 10 minutes to finish, but will help all of us in the next 10 years. Most importantly, in Question 9, make sure you check “Others” and write in “TAIWANESE” to get Taiwan counted and recognized.

For more details, please refer to www.fapa.org or http://census2010.tacl.org/.

Thank you for your distributing this news!!
